Mr. Ernest Houston Roberts passed away on February 1, 2010 at the Haven Nursing Home in Mexia. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Porter Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Gray officiating. Interment will follow at Lost Prairie Cemetery. Family visitation will be held on Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Roberts was born May 10, 1916 in Fairfield, Texas. He lived in Freestone and Limestone counties most of his life. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Ernest was a caring husband, daddy and Papa.

Ernest was preceded in death by his parents, D. D. and Lula Roberts; two brothers and one sister.

Mr. Roberts is survived by his wife, Dorothy; son Glenn Roberts and wife, Jennifer; two grandchildren, Bailey and Braxton; two step grandchildren, Larry McKee and Nathan McKee and his wife, Divena; four step great-grandchildren, Samantha, Melody, Lucas and Brett McKee; one sister-in-law, Retha Henry; niece, Shirley Mimmor and husband, William; two nephews, Billy Roberts and John Jaster.
